DEALSSony Music Publishing has announced a new worldwide deal with the estate of Muddy Waters to administer the full catalogue of the late blues musician. “Muddy Waters was without a doubt one of the most impactful songwriters in modern music”, says SMP CEO Jon Platt. “His vibrant, expressive sound is embodied in music today and continues to inspire generations.

Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker has sold his entire music catalogue to Sony Music Publishing.Per a report from Music Business Worldwide, Parker signed a global deal with Sony in 2020, giving them control of all future releases, both as an individual and as Tame Impala. Now, however, it is being reported that a new deal has been struck and will also encompass all past releases as well.The details of the acquisition have not been announced.
