EXCLUSIVE: Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan and Grant Harvey have joined the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios and Artists Equity feature The Accountant 2, the sequel to the 2016 thriller. Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons and Cynthia Addai-Robinson are reprising their roles, with Gavin O’Connor returning as director. Bill Dubuque penned the script.
There’s still a few months until Season 3 of The Bear debuts, but Disney is holding audiences over with a clip from the upcoming installment.
Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher is back!
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Jon Bernthal is back playing Frank Castle (aka Punisher) on the set of “Daredevil: Born Again,” new set photos from which have the character paired up with Charlie Cox’s eponymous hero and soaked in blood. The Disney+ series is now filming in New York City. Bernthal debuted as Frank Castle in Netflix’s “The Punisher” series, which aired for two seasons and 26 episodes between 2017 and 2019.
Ethan Shanfeld While “The Bear” is currently in production on Season 3, sources confirm to Variety that FX is already cooking up Season 4, which will film back to back with the third season. FX renewed the Chicago-set restaurant dramedy for Season 3 in November and has not announced a Season 4 renewal. A spokesperson for the network declined to comment.
It looks like the partnership between Ben Affleck and Matt Damon‘s studio Artist Equity and Amazon MGM will continue to bear fruit. Deadline reports that the companies will team up again for “The Accountant 2,” a sequel to the 2016 action drama starring Affleck.
