Watson and Henderson have been cast as Valya Harkonnen and Tula Harkonnen, described by the streamer as “the formidable Harkonnen Sisters, who have risen to power in the Sisterhood, a secret organization of women who will go on to become the Bene Gesserit.”The prequel series, titled “Dune: The Sisterhood,” is set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides and follows the Harkonnen Sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit.The series is adapted from the novel “Sisterhood of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin J.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment film Dune: Part Two has begun production, reports Business Wire. 

“Dune: Part Two” is being shifted from Oct. 20, 2023 to Nov. 17, 2023.

Léa Seydoux is set to play Lady Margot in Dune: Part Two, the next instalment of the fantasy blockbuster. Deadline reported that the French actress is still in negotiations to join the cast which includes Timothée Chalamet, Josh Brolin and Zendaya. In May it was confirmed that Christopher Walken and Austin Butler would star in the second film.

Fans may have to wait until October 2023 for the “Dune” sequel to arrive in theatres, but star Javier Bardem is already expecting the story will “surprise” people.

Dune: Part One was released in theaters in October 2021 and a sequel has been confirmed to be in the works.

After already taking home 6 Oscars, Denis Villeneuve’s epic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune continued its below the line domination at Sunday’s Academy Awards as it took home the Best Visual Effects Oscar. Joe Walker has won the Oscar for film editing for Dune — taking one of the eight technical categories that were controversially shifted out of the main telecast.
