Yorkshire puddings are a Sunday roast staple, but they can be tricky to pull off, even with such a simple cooking method.
If you've failed to make crispy, golden puddings that are sky high, one baking expert has shared a secret that she never forgets to ensure they come out "extra tall" every time.
According to Candice Bannister, founder of Candy's Cupcakes, a good technique is also essential to get the best results. To give the specialist's advice a try, we've also included a simple Yorkshire pudding recipe.
As reported by the Express, Candice said: "Additional egg whites are the secret to creating extra tall Yorkshire puddings. However, you need to make sure you’re using the same equivalent of each ingredient, so if you’ve increased your eggs, increase your flour and milk too.
"If you don’t do this, then your Yorkshire puddings could end up being too dense.
"Although the taste can be quite bland on its own, due to its simple ingredients, the perfect Yorkshire pudding is all about the texture. It needs to be light in touch, crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside."
Read below to learn the full ingredients and cooking method, including how to incorporate the extra egg whites.
