Following tons of rumors, it was confirmed that the show had been canceled and the second half of Season 5 would be the last for the beloved series.The final episodes of Season 5 were originally scheduled to air in the summer of 2023. However, the drama with Costner, as well as the Hollywood strikes, put a stop to that. Now, it seems that the show has a plan moving forward.
This includes concluding the original series and adding at least two new spinoffs to the roster.
