X Factor star Andy Brown ditches fame for new career move

Former X-factor star Andy Brown has revealed his surprising new career after the 35 year old singer turned his back on a life of showbiz and fame. Andy received widespread acclaim while performing with the boyband Lawson in 2009, with the quartet going on to open for a variety of household names on tour, including The Wanted , Will Young and Avril Lavigne, before finding solo success in 2012.
Yet long before Lawson hit the charts, Andy had previously starred alongside The Wanted’s Max George in another band, Avenue who tried to impress the X-Factor judges all the way back in 2006. Throughout his musical career with both bands, Andy became a popular staple of many 00’s playlists, but has since turned his back on stardom altogether to pursue a career as a professional photographer.
Specialising in headshots, Andy now snaps photos of budding and established actors so that they can use the images for auditions and casting calls. Based in London, Andy has shown a surprising talent for the art and has even built up an impressive A-list clientele over the years, including Eastenders actress Maisie Smith.
In addition to his photography business, Andy is now also a doting father to his son Knox, and happily married to the love of his life Joey McDowall. Prior to stepping away from the limelight, Andy released a number of hits including When She Was Mine, Taking Over Me and Juliet.
