Woman's fury at landlord after her living room is plagued by damp for four YEARS

A woman has blasted her landlord after claiming damp has been in her home for four YEARS.
Diane Kenyon moved into her two-up two-down terraced house in Horwich, near Bolton, 20 years ago. At the time a damp proof course was fitted but about four years ago, serious damp emerged in her living room.
Since then, she says, she has tried in vain to get her landlord, Places for People, to fix it. But the 67-year-old, who has several medical conditions, says it is still there now.

"I am diabetic, have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I have also head mental health issues. I am worried that if the damp is not sorted out my health could be affected.
"I have damp in my living room on the wall and on the other side of the wall. It is 21 inches high on both sides and 5ft across. It's been there since I first moved in 21 years ago when they sorted it, with a damp proof course being put in. But it returned and has been like this for about four years now.
"A surveyor came out Monday May 1, sent by Places for People. She said she doesn't think it's rising damp but a leak underneath the ground. I've rang time and time again to get it sorted but nothing happens."
Diane, who retired as a claeaner at Horwich Leisure Centre in December, lives on her own in Tredgold Street.
"The surveyor said the wall was wet through," she added. "She said her report would be ready within a week. But I have heard nothing for three months now."
