A woman has been left puzzled after witnessing a strange phenomenon in the sky above East Lothian.
Sarah, from Fife, was putting her horses in a field when she looked across the Firth of Forth and spotted a set of lights hovering in the could several miles away. She claims to have seen two blue lights streaking through the atmosphere.
She also said that she later witnessed a strange cloud and three lights that continued to appear and disappear in a uniform formation. The incident happened at around 10.40pm on Thursday, April 25 with the bamboozled onlooker capturing footage of the strange event.
Sarah has shared her footage and stills of the peculiar occurrence in her hope that someone may have answers.
Speaking to our sister title, Edinburgh Live, she said: “I was looking out towards East Lothian from my home in Fife and saw a row of lights that appeared almost above Musselburgh. At first, I was not sure if an event was happening.
“I was going to put my horses out into the field and it was when I walked down the path that I saw them hovering above a row of houses. I then witnessed blue streaks that were going up diagonally from the ground up into the sky.

“It all happened incredibly quickly, it was a flash, then another flash, like lightning but going upwards. It was so weird, it gave me a bit of a shock and I just thought, what is that? It was unlike any strobe lights or anything I’ve ever seen before. I ended up putting the horses away and when I left the yard I noticed three flights flashing.
“I could see what looked like helicopters but they were below it. There was a weird cloud next to the light activity.
