A woman whose parents constantly park on her neighbour's driveway says she is mortified by their entitlement. Posting to Mumsnet, the woman explained her parents' behaviour has left her in 'disbelief' - but they seem completely oblivious to her embarrassment.
She added that confronting them over the parking situation is a waste of time, as her mum enjoys nothing more than a good row and constantly picks arguments. She doesn't want to give her the satisfaction and so has stopped herself from saying anything, but says has now reached the end of her tether, according to the Mirror.
Asking others for advice on Mumsnet, the woman wrote: "They have had no permission to plonk their car there but do so anyway. I genuinely can't believe it."
"Saw them out earlier and their car is on next door’s driveway. Plenty of places to park on the street, including directly outside my house and across my driveway."
"My next door neighbour is currently in a nursing home, but it is still his house with his belongings inside," she says.
But her parents seem to be unaware of how frustrated she is by their disrespectful behaviour: "I am so embarrassed. There’s no point saying anything. My mum will laugh and my dad with angrily defend my mum."
Several people took to the comments section to express their sympathy and share advice on how to handle to the situation. Some said that parking on the driveway might actually be a good security measure for the absent neighbour.
However others said that the parents were way overstepping the mark, as one wrote: "They have no understanding of boundaries. None. If they want to do something they do it, to hell with everyone else."
