A yoga instructor told police she had been shopping at the Trafford Centre and had no money on her - but was then caught with thousands of pounds of criminal cash stashed in her glove box.
Antonia Bettridge was pulled over by officers off the M62 at junction nine for Winwick, Warrington, because of her poor driving. Officers became suspicious but when asked what she had on her, Bettridge told them she had 'no money' as she was on her way back from a trip to the Trafford Centre.
However, when officers searched her vehicle, they found more than £8,000 in cash. It transpired the personal trainer and masseuse was in fact on a return journey after travelling to a service station more than 150 miles away - where she had been 'doing a favour' for a friend.

Liverpool Crown Court heard how the then 21-year-old was pulled off the M62 on December 22, 2021 and spoken to close to the nearby branch of B&Q. David Polglase, prosecuting, described how she maintained that she "didn't have any money on her" and had been to the Trafford Centre.
But PCs then found £610 in her handbag. Bettridge, of St Helens, was asked if she had anything else in her vehicle but "remained silent", reports the Echo.
A further £8,000 was subsequently discovered in her glove box. It was later established that she had driven to Gordano Services on the M5 near to Bristol, roughly a three-hour drive and approximately 170 miles from her home on Greenfield Road in Dentons Green, before returning back north.
Mr Polglase added: "All we can say is that this is a trip to the south west and back
