Disney‘s next animated movie, Wish, is coming out so soon!

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Oscar-winning actor Ariana DeBose looks to the starry night and sings her heart’s desire in the trailer for Disney’s new animated feature “Wish.” If you’ve ever wondered how the Wishing Star came to be, this animated musical feature, set to be released on Nov. 22, is an ode to that legacy that has been featured so prominently throughout Disney Animation’s history. DeBose stars as Asha, a 17-year-old who lives in the magical kingdom of Rosas, a fantastical place ruled by Disney’s newest villain, Chris Pine’s King Magnifico, and built on people’s wishes and hopes.

An online rumor recently made the rounds saying filmmaker Matthew Vaughn was next in line to take over the James Bond franchise, and it’s fitting but almost laughable. Because Vaughn, who actively sought the James Bond gig early in his directing life, has basically made an entire career of doing his own spy franchises, almost snubbing his nose at Bond in the process.

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic I’m a fan of Chris Pine: the early Shatner-smooth charisma, the powerful chops he’s displayed in movies like “Hell or High Water,” the authoritative snap of his performance as the cult-leader heavy in “Don’t Worry Darling.” So I take no vicious pleasure in saying that “Poolman,” a movie that Pine co-wrote, directed, and stars in, is not only the worst film I saw during the fall festival season but would likely be one of the worst films in any year it came out. Okay, maybe I’m taking a bit of vicious pleasure in saying that, since I had to sit through the goddamn thing.
