To celebrate the highly-anticipated return of Aldi’s Next Big Thing on Channel 4, we’ve teamed up with Aldi to give away £100 worth of shopping vouchers to 15 lucky readers.
The six-week series will follow innovative food and drink entrepreneurs from across the UK, as they compete for the life-changing chance to have their products stocked in more than 1,000 Aldi stores nationwide. Hosted by broadcaster and author, Anita Rani and Chris Bavin, of The One Show and Eat Well for Less, the show will return for the second series on April 2 at 8pm.
Artisan suppliers will be put through their paces in a range of exciting categories, including dinners and baked goods, as well as new additions, party, world, and confectionery.
The products will then be presented to Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, who considers significant factors, such as price, packaging, and shopper demand, before shortlisting contestants down to just two.
The finalists are then given four weeks to address any feedback, with a follow-up home visit from Anita or Chris who will report back their findings to Julie.
The improved products are then taste tested during the final round, where Julie decides which winner will appear as a Specialbuy in over 1,000 stores.
