Could one of the most-loved Outlander characters be set for an exciting return in season six?
Lord John Grey, played by the excellent David Berry, has been a fan favourite since his first appearance in season two in the episode Je Suis Prest.
And after he left to return to England to help Jamie's son William in season five, show lovers were sure they'd seen the last of him for the foreseeable but new clips related to season six have got them excited again.
The first, a recap of seasons 1-5, shows David Berry joining the likes of Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Cesar Dombay and John Bell to sum up everything that's happened over the past five seasons.
One excited fan wrote: "Soooooooooo David – Lord John Grey – Berry … IS in Se 6!"
But another responded: "Fingers crossed but this was probably filmed during s5."
Though this indeed could have been down to the clip simply being filmed during season 5 filming, a second clip has emerged, which has since been deleted by the official Outlander account.
Showing the cast talking about season six, it seemed to have David Gray also apparently making an appearance.
After producer Maril Davis retweeted it, one fan posted: "So very glad to see Lord John in this segment especially after the rumoured [sic] departure at the end of S5."
Since the clip has been deleted, it's impossible now to find it but if David Berry did indeed make an appearance it could be an exciting hint that one of our faves could make a return this season.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
