Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus bore with ‘Downhill’

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell opened up about their nights at the 2020 Oscars when they stopped by Late Night on Thursday.After the two presented at the ceremony, Louis-Dreyfus said she was "really enjoying the show." She added, "I was like a tourist sitting there and seeing everybody perform."The actress explained that she attended the Governor's Ball after the awards show.

The foreign-language film remake has never been the most esteemed sort of Hollywood production, but the timing of “Downhill,” a remake of Ruben Östlund’s 2014 Swedish film “Force Majeure,” hasn’t done it any favors.

“Downhill” feels a lot like it should be a comedy. It looks like one, for starters. It stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the most lauded comedic actress on American television, and Will Ferrell, the “Saturday Night Live” goofball whose caricatures of men and masculinity have carved out an inimitable place in American humor.

“We were really hoping that they would invite us to be here. We thought it was a great way for the film to launch,” Julia Louis-Dreyfus said, reflecting on why she was excited for her latest film, “Downhill,” to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival — though the setting of the film (a ski resort) and the premise (a couple is forced to reevaluate their relationship after facing a near-avalanche) might hit a little too close to home for the cinephiles in Park City, Utah.

The 92nd Annual Academy Awards will have at least four former Oscar winners hitting the stage and three alums.
