Barbie Ferreira who is known for portraying Kat Hernandez in Euphoria won't be returning for its third season. The actress made the announcement on an Instagram story.
She wrote: "After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I'm having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye."
Earlier this year, there were reports of tension between the 25-year-old and series creator Sam Levinson. The Daily Beast reported two instances while filming the second season such as Ferreira walking off set and injuring herself filming a hot tub scene. Many fans also noticed Ferreira had less screen time in season two. But both HBO and Ferreira have denied the rumours that the production was toxic.

HBO confirmed a third season of Euphoria earlier this year, but the streamer is yet to confirm details on cast, plot and release date. We think most of the cast will be returning, because when the news was announced the executive vice president of HBO Programming Francesca Orsi, said in a statement:
“We couldn’t be more honoured to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into season 3.”
Zendaya, who plays Rue is most likely returning as she previously spoke about possibly directing an episode in the new season to Vogue Italia. Most of the show's regulars such as Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Hunter Schager, Maude Apatow, Nika King and Storm Reid are expected to reprise their roles in the third season.
