Erik ten Hag has been told where he will be looking to improve Tyrell Malacia upon his arrival at Manchester United.
MEN Sport announced on Wednesday that United had reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Malacia to the club. The 22-year-old widely impressed during Feyenoord's campaign last season.
Malacia became an ever-present in Arne Slot's team, making 50 appearances at left-back. Slot is a big fan of the defender but has previously noted where Ten Hag might well be looking to improve the player when he arrives at Old Trafford.

He explained via Bleed Orange: "This season, we have the ball more as a team, so he now needs to be prepared for any counter attack. He’s doing this well.
"I also see him more and more as a driving player, when we’re behind he is typically the player to try and force the issue, or to ignite a spark with a run or a tackle. I do see him taunt opponents a bit too much.
"Almost showing too much of the ball, to get them to bite. At times, it’s too much. He looks a bit complacent, arrogant even, at times. I talk to him about that."
Arrogance for a footballer is not always a bad thing, it can sometimes be confused for confidence, but will be something that United fans will be wary of considering previous signings at the Theatre of Dreams. But Slot is clear with how high he holds Malacia in his esteem.
"Tyrell is a fan of Marcelo and [David] Alaba of Real Madrid, backs who can defend and attack," Slot added. "He is and has always been strong as a defender, but now you can see him make progress on the ball as well."
