The Prime Minister is expected to make a statement today (Monday 31 January) on the latest update from the Sue Gray report.
A Cabinet spokesperson confirmed this morning that Ms Gray, a senior civil servant, has handed a version of her inquiry to the Prime Minister.
Ms Gray has been investigating a number of lockdown-breaking parties which allegedly took place at Downing Street.
One of them includes the now-infamous 'bring your own booze' gathering, which Mr Johnson maintains was a work event.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “We can confirm that Sue Gray has provided an update to the Prime Minister.
“The findings will be published on gov.uk and made available in the House of Commons library this afternoon and the Prime Minister will then provide a statement to the House after people have had the opportunity to read and consider the findings.”
A carefully-worded statement suggested that the 'update' to Mr Johnson was not the full report after she was told to pare it back by Scotland Yard.
Ms Gray is understood to have pared back the long-awaited report following a request from the Metropolitan Police.
The wording of the government statement suggests that the official may wish to publish a fuller-version of the results of her inquiry after the Met completes its investigation.
But Downing Street said it will publish the Gray report in the full form it has received from the inquiry team - and did not commit to publishing a fuller version in the future.
Asked whether Sue Gray will seek to publish more in the future, the Prime Minister's official spokesperson said:
