'Wednesday' Series Sets Premiere Date on Netflix: See First Clip

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has re-upped its overall deal with international bestselling author Harlan Coben. The original five-year, multimillion-dollar pact gave Netflix access to 14 Coben books to develop, in partnership with the author, into English-language and foreign-language series as well as films. The latest series of The Crown will premiere on November 9, Netflix has revealed. The fifth series of the hit show, which dramatises the lives of the Royal Family, will feature storylines surrounding the lives of the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Netflix has announced that season five of The Crown will be released in November 2022, despite the recent death of Queen Elizabeth.

Today, Netflix promoted its massive slate of feature films and television series during their big event Tudum. The streamer showcased various clips, teasers, and behind-the-scenes footage for some of their original movies, such as action projects with big names attached in lead roles.

Netflix’s upcoming CIA series starring Noah Centineo will be known as The Recruit and it will premiere on December 16, the actor revealed at the streamer’s Tudum event on Saturday.

During Netflix’s Tudum fan event on Saturday, the former “To All the Boys” star revealed that his upcoming espionage series is titled “The Recruit” and will premiere Dec. 16 on the streamer. He also shared the first photo from the show (above), which features him staring something down (a villain, perhaps?) from behind a door with a cut on his cheek. According to its logline, “The Recruit” centers on “a fledgling lawyer at the CIA that becomes enmeshed in dangerous international power politics when a former asset threatens to expose the nature of her long-term relationship with the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime.”

K.J. Yossman Netflix has revealed the premiere date for “The Crown” Season 5 during its online Tudum fan event on Saturday. The dramatized series about the British Royal Family is set to return on Nov. 9 with an entirely new cast. Imelda Staunton (“Harry Potter”) takes over from Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II while Jonathan Pryce (“The Two Popes”) will play her husband, Prince Philip.
