Moments ago, the 2020 Writers Guild Awards began. Interestingly, the show kicked off by announcing both of the big Film prizes, Original Screenplay and Adapted Screenplay.

Taika Waititi owes a lot of this awards season to his mother, Robin Cohen. She’s the one who first told him that he should think about adapting Christine Leunens’ novel “Caging Skies” for the big screen.

Fans thought they knew Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey from their hit reality TV show, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," but apparently their marriage was far from perfect.

At the Jan. 3 AFI Awards, Mel Brooks interrupted his speech about the American Film Institute’s women directors program to praise Taika Waititi for Searchlight’s “Jojo Rabbit.” However, he joked, the filmmaker “did not ask my permission to use Hitler!”
