Trading for just over a year, the man behind the operation is Ian McLaren who made the decision to open his own place during the pandemic. Ian had already been working in the industry for 20 years but decided to forge his own path which lead to him renovating his own unit on Church Street.

Since then, his shop has become a favourite and he attributes that to the less intimidating atmosphere it brings for men looking to administer some cosmetic therapy.
“I think we’re successful because we’re one of a kind. We’re one of the few places in the area that offers everything all in one place," Ian told the M.E.N.
“I get a few men who come in and say they’re so happy they found us because other places that do what we do are filled with pretty women and they can get intimidated.
“I don’t know why there is a stigma around men getting their hair done, or some botox. I just think, women have been doing it for years and if they can do it, why can’t men?"
Ian says the change he sees in men after receiving his treatment can be almost transformational.
“Hair means a lot to people and we give men their hair back," he added.
"I’ve seen the effect it has when people come out of the chair, their shoulders are wider and they are already more confident.
“I had a guy come in but he was a little bit scared because of what his friends would say, but after it was done they were all pleasantly surprised.”
