Watch Stevie Wonder Sing Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me” on One World: Together at Home

It’s hard to even remember music without Stevie Wonder. But 70 years ago — when Stevland Morris was born on May 13, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan — the music world was forever changed. Although he went blind as an infant, his artistic vision set a new bar for generations of musicians.

Lady Gaga urged people weathering the coronavirus pandemic to find a way to smile through the pain, while Stevie Wonder encouraged viewers to lean on one another as the superstars kicked off Saturday's all-star event, One World: Together at Home. The TV special was aimed at fighting the coronavirus and celebrating health care workers on the front lines.

Today (April 18), dozens of artists and other public figures participated in Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home broadcast, a digital and television special to support frontline workers and the World Health Organization as the coronavirus pandemic continues to take its toll in the United States and countries worldwide. Taylor Swift was among the artists to appear on the benefit livestream. She accompanied herself on piano and sang “Soon You’ll Get Better.” Watch her appearance below.

Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO) have announced have announced One World: Together at Home. The lineup for the livestreamed show, curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga, features Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, Lizzo, J Balvin, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Alanis Morisette, Burna Boy, and others.
