Disney+ subscribers who are streaming the platform's latest releases could be hit with a price hike in a matter of weeks.
The platform has recently dropped three-part tell-all series Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, while other hit shows including the second season of Marvel spin-off Loki is releasing weekly. Those watching Loki, or catching up on other Disney shows and films, could be caught off guard when the service introduces new pricing tiers this November.
There is currently only one subscription plan available in the UK, priced at £7.99 a month or £79.90 a year if paid upfront. But two more options will be rolled out- one will be cheaper than the current plan, while the other will be more expensive.

The current subscription plan will remain at £7.99 a month but will be named the 'standard plan'. The new 'premium' plan will cost £3 a month more, priced at £10.99 a month or £109.90 annually. It will allow up to four concurrent streams at once and offers better video and audio quality than the standard plan.
Current subscribers will automatically have their subscriptions upgraded to the more expensive Disney+ Premium option. However they will have the option to keep paying the same price by changing to the standard plan - or they can save money by choosing the new standard with ads plan, which is the cheapest option.
