'WandaVision' Earns Marvel Studios' First Emmy

Including “What If?” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” Marvel Studios has released 29 films and TV series over the course of 13 years. And there are still two more films and one more series debuting before the end of 2021 to add to that total.

Even before fans saw one second of footage from the upcoming “Eternals” film from Marvel Studios, people were excited by two things: 1) the opportunity to see Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao direct a superhero film and 2) the incredible A-list cast that includes folks like Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, and many more.

Victoria Alonso has been promoted to president, physical and post production, visual effects, and animation production at Marvel Studios. A 15-year studio veteran, Alonso will oversee the divisions across the studio’s slate of films and series and continue to report to Marvel Studio co-president Louis D’Esposito.

As part of her new position, Alonso’s responsibilities will expand to include overseeing all aspects of VFX, animation and post production for all of Marvel’s feature films and Disney+ productions. She will continue to serve as executive producer on all MCU titles and report to studio co-president Louis D’Esposito.
