A new trailer has given an insight into the bloody battle scenes which will be hitting our screens when Vikings: Valhalla airs.
The Vikings spin-off series is coming to Netflix in February and takes place thousands of years ago in the early 11th century.
This week Netflix released the first minute-long teaser for the new season, giving us a taste of what’s to come.

And if the trailer is anything to go by it’s going to feature plenty of bloody battles, impassioned speeches and explosive scenes.
The series will chronicle the famous Vikings of history and will focus on the epic climax as tensions between the English and Vikings reach boiling point.
The show is set more than 100 years after the end of the popular Vikings series which originally ran from 2013 until 2020 on the History Channel.

The trailer for Vikings: Valhalla sets the scene for what looks to be a battle-filled season.
"You have been summoned here to avenge the death of Vikings," King Canut of Denmark (Bradley Freegard) declares as the trailer opens. "Bring me England!"
This sets the scene for the theme of the show, where we also see Harald Sigurdsson, who was the King of Norway from 1046 until 1066, telling his soldiers: “This blood is not my blood. It is our blood. It is Viking blood.”
The grim-looking trailer gives us a taste of the gory battles to come, and we also see Viking longships travelling through the water.
