Jaden Thompson “Vanderpump Rules” stars Scheana Shay and her husband, Brock Davies, have been cast as guest stars in an upcoming “Lopez vs. Lopez” episode, set to air on April 23. In the NBC comedy series starring George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez, Shay and Davies join Season 2 as characters named Erica and Justin, respectively.
Per NBC, they are “Mayan and Quinten’s rival parents at Chance’s school. When both of their children get into the gifted program, the rivalry escalates to a battle of brains.” Shay first appeared on Bravo‘s “Vanderpump Rules” in 2013 as part of the show’s original cast. Since then, she has remained a central figure on the series, which follows the lives of employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants and bars.
Her now-husband Davies joined the cast in Season 9 after he and Shay had their daughter, Summer Moon, together. Shay was uniquely affected because of the Scandoval in Season 10 of the show — the nickname for the cheating scandal that led to the breakup of cast members Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix — because she and Sandoval had been friends for years before the show began. During the currently airing Season 11 of “Vanderpump Rules,” which filmed over the summer, Shay has been openly weeping about missing their friendship, while she continues to be angry at Sandoval — and also wanting to stay loyal to Madix.
Shay’s additional television credits include “90210,” “Victorious” and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” among other titles. The official description for “Lopez vs. Lopez” reads, “George Lopez and his daughter, Mayan, return to NBC to put the fun back in dysfunctional family comedy.
