Twin sisters leave jobs after starting up own design studio

Twin sisters left their jobs behind after successfully launching a design business together, taking on international clients.
Ellen and Alex Murphy, who are identical twins, began creating logos for friends and family as a creative outlet from their jobs in fashion. In 2019, the pair set up The Logo Page, which has now become a graphic design studio offering bespoke branding.
During evenings and weekends, Ellen and Alex, 28, would help friends and family with logos and branding. But thanks to the power of social media, along with word of mouth and recommendations from previous clients, the twins saw enquiries soar.

The demand allowed Ellen and Alex, from Crosby, Merseyside, to take the plunge and go full-time with their design studio. Ellen was first to go full-time, with Alex soon following after she was made redundant.
Today, The Logo Page's Instagram boasts nearly 14,000 followers and has a full order book from big brands to independent businesses alike. As part of this year's International Women's Day coverage, the ECHO caught up with Ellen to see how the business is going.
The news outlet last spoke to the sisters in 2021 and since then, Ellen has given birth to a baby boy. Jude turned one on Saturday, March 4 and has meant it's been a "busy year" for the graphic designer.
On working with her twin sister, Ellen said: "We have always been really, really close and have done everything together. Running a business together has always been easy."
