Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Five months of production has been completed on Jacob Elordi-starring drama series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” which is set in the “Euphoria” and “Saltburn” star’s native Australia. An adaptation of the Booker Prize-winning novel by Richard Flanaghan, the five-part series is love-story set against the backdrop of World War II. Elordi portrays Lieutenant-Colonel Dorrigo Evans and co-stars with Odessa Young (“Mothering Sunday,” “Shirley”).

Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan has been revealed.The Dune actor was seen on the New York City set of James Mangold’s upcoming biopic about the influential artist, in full costume.Sporting a typical ’60s look, complete with a paperboy hat and a guitar case in hand, the 28-year-old debuted his look as the ‘Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright’ singer. Ben Croll Originally developed as an eight-episode series, the WWI-era adventure “Lucy Lost” will instead hit the silver screen now that Paris-based powerhouse Xilam Animation has retooled the project as a feature. “Klaus” alum Olivier Clert has boarded as co-writer and director, joining BAFTA-winning screenwriter Helen Blankman for a seaside family tale adapted from “War Horse” author Michael Morpurgo’s 2014 novel “Listen to the Moon.” Xilam has shared this first-look with Variety ahead of the reformatted project’s pitch at Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux.

Disney has revealed a first look photo at the upcoming movie Tron: Ares!

Wonder what happened to the long-in-the-works “Tron: Ares,” the next chapter in the “Tron” franchise (and maybe a sequel to “Tron: Legacy”? That’s unclear), especially as the film was delayed last year due to the strikes? Well, good news on that front: it went into production in January in Vancouver and is scheduled for a 2025 release, and today, Disney released a first look at the film.

The Crow reboot, starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs, has revealed a series of first-look images.The photos see Skarsgård step into the role of goth rocker Eric Draven, with his version of the iconic character featuring plenty of black make-up, a mixture of unique tattoos, and a much shorter hairstyle than the original movie’s late star Brandon Lee, who lost his life through a tragic on-set accident during production.The upcoming remake is directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White And The Huntsman, Ghost In The Shell), who told Vanity Fair that he considers the film a tribute to Lee’s memory, despite it being an entirely new take on the 1994 horror-revenge love story. The original movie was based on the 1989 comic book series of the same name by James O’Barr.“Brandon was an original voice, and I think he will always be synonymous with The Crow and I hope he’s proud of what we’ve done and how we’ve brought the story back again.

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Fremantle revealed Wednesday that it has secured worldwide distribution rights, outside of German-speaking territories, to the premium fantasy drama “Hagen” — a working title — from Constantin Film. The deal includes rights to a six-part series and a feature film for theatrical release. RTL Group holds German streaming and free TV rights.
