‘Trailblazing’ plans to build a village made out of shipping containers to support male rough sleepers and help ‘break the cycle of homelessness’ have been approved in Manchester.
Homelessness charity Embassy will provide 40 modular homes, a village hall and a communal open and green space on a derelict site below railway arches near Bridgewater Canal and the River Irwell in Hulme.
