Tom shared a video, opening up about Stem4, which is one of the charities sponsored by his family’s fundraising foundation, the Brothers Trust.
The charity focuses primarily on supporting the positive mental health of teenagers. Holland prefaced the clip by explaining that his online disappearance was not only intentional but necessary due to how constant scrolling personally affects him.
“I have taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming,” Tom explained. “I get caught up, and I spiral when I read things about me online.”
He added that “ultimately, it’s very detrimental to my mental state, so I decided to take a step back and delete the app.”
