Tilda Swinton joins Max Richter at Glastonbury 2023, man attempts naked protest

Another Wes Anderson movie, another stacked ensemble cast: such is the case for “Asteroid City,” the director’s latest. But Anderson fans will notice a regular of his conspicuously absent from his latest film: Bill Murray, who’s had parts in each of Anderson’s past nine movies.

A second person has died at Glastonbury Festival after a body was found during clean-up operations. Police say a man in his forties was found unresponsive in his tent at around 2.20pm on Tuesday.

Naman Ramachandran The BFI has set a major U.K.-wide film celebration of one of the greatest and most enduring filmmaking partnerships in the history of cinema: Michael Powell (1905-1990) and Emeric Pressburger (1902-1988), best known for iconic films including “The Red Shoes” (1948), “A Matter of Life and Death” (1946) and “Black Narcissus” (1947), the latter of which premiered on Wednesday at Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore as part of Il Cinema Ritrovato, screening from a new 35mm print made by the BFI. Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Nouvelles Vagues, a new international festival dedicated to films about youth, is set to make a splashy debut Wednesday in Biarritz, a surf haven in southwestern France, with Penélope Cruz as its inaugural guest of honor. Launching with partners such as Chanel and leading French pay TV banner Canal+, Nouvelles Vagues was founded by fashion veteran Jérôme Pulis, who worked at Christian Dior for 16 years and producer Sandrine Brauer. The pair have enlisted former Locarno artistic director Lili Hinstin as programming chief. The festival is kicking off Wednesday evening with the screening of Tina Satter’s “Reality,” the Berlinale breakout film starring Sydney Sweeney, followed by a gala dinner hosted by Chanel. “Reality” was acquired by HBO Films for North America on the heels of its critically acclaimed world premiere at Berlin. Metropolitan FilmExport, the French distributor of “Reality,” is holding the local premiere of “Reality” at Nouvelles Vagues ahead of its theatrical release in August — a sign that the festival is perceived by French industry players as a potentially strong launchpad in a crowded marketplace.

Glastonbury 2023 after a “medical incident” at the festival.As The Independent report, a statement from Avon & Somerset Police confirmed that emergency services responded to the incident at around 4am on Sunday morning (June 25) on the festival’s railway line footpath.They said: “Shortly before 4am today emergency services responded to a medical incident involving a man in his 40s at Glastonbury Festival.“The incident happened on a footpath known as the old railway line. Sadly, the man died at the scene.
