Storm Babet continues to batter the UK with strong winds and heavy rain today, with three dead and severe 'danger to life' warnings still in place.
A rare red weather warning has been issued for parts of eastern Scotland all day as forecasters warn of a 'difficult day ahead' in the region. Over 350 flood warnings remained in place across England on Saturday morning (October 21).
A yellow warning for wind remains in place until 12pm across the north east of England and eastern Scotland. In Greater Manchester, five flood warnings remain in place across parts of Manchester, Stockport, and Tameside.

Residents are being urged to 'act now' as flooding is expected around Staley and Micklehurst Brooks in Mossley, the River Mersey at Fletcher Moss and Withington Golf Course, the River Mersey at Cheadle Wood and Ford Lane, the River Goyt at Whaley Bridge, and the River Bollin and Agden Brook at Little Bollington.
On Friday, a man in his 60s died after getting caught in fast-flowing flood water in the town of Cleobury Mortimer in Shropshire. The death was the third since Storm Babet first hit the UK on Wednesday.
Police Scotland previously said a falling tree hit a van near Forfar in Angus on Thursday evening, killing the 56-year-old driver.
A 57-year-old woman also died on Thursday after being swept into a river in the region.
Flooding caused 70-minute delays on the A1 near Grantham on Friday, National Highways said, while further south, Suffolk declared a major incident as Storm Babet
