This Morning's Alice Beer has spoken out about feeling “sad and angry” after Philip Schofield admitted to a relationship with a younger colleague. The 58 year old presenter took to Twitter early on Saturday morning to share her thoughts about the revelation, calling it a “sorry mess” and condemning Phillip’s actions for reflecting poorly on the rest of the This Morning team.
She penned: “Sad and angry.This sorry mess reflects on all of us who have enjoyed the fun and glory of working on such a successful programme." It comes after days of speculation surrounding Phillip’s sudden departure from the hit ITV morning show resulted in the presenter admitting that he had engaged in a relationship with a younger colleague on the show. In his official statement about the relationship, Phillip said his affair was “unwise but not illegal,” and has since cut ties completely with ITV and been dropped by his talent agency, YMU.
