If you think you’ve fully caught up with everything Oscars 2023, think again. You’ve seen the gowns and you’ve scrolled through the best make-up looks from the night, but have you zoomed in on some of the A-list manicures? The red (champagne, actually) carpet saw more impressive manis than we’ve witnessed in years, with trend-led nail looks coming from the stylish likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Sabrina Elba and Michelle Yeoh. So, from a “lip gloss” manicure to a Chanel-inspired colour combination, here are the style options we think you should show at your next nail appointment.
Vanessa Hudgens The High School Musical star opted for a classic vintage black and white Chanel gown for last night’s Oscars and complemented the ensemble with some matching monochrome nails. If you zoom in you’ll be able to see the full intricacy of the manicure, which combines a pearly white base colour with graphic black swirls. 10/10 for outfit and nail pairing, Vanessa.
Sabrina Elba Sabrina and husband Idris Elba took to the red carpet last night and made all of us just a little envious of the loving gazes they shared. If you can gaze past their loved-up looks, you’ll be able to see Sabrina’s pretty pink “lip gloss” nails.
