Since the latest series of Love Island kicked off at the beginning of the month, this year’s show has been filled with plenty of drama from day one. From its divisive challenges to its shock recouplings, viewers have been left on the edge of their seats all series. But despite all of the drama, the show is ultimately about finding love as the couples battle it out to make their way to the final.
However, a former contestant has warned that they believe that there are “no strong couples” currently in the villa despite being three weeks into the show. Speaking to OK! about the remaining couples in the villa, George Fensom, who was the first contestant to be eliminated from the 2023 series, has given his verdict and has said that some couples are “stronger than others”. He said: “I feel like we are getting closer to the halfway point within the show. There are some couples which seem to be stronger than others, but I don’t think any of them look like they are extremely strong.” However, 24 year old George added that he believed one one couple in particular did have potential to blossom.
“I think Tyrique and Ella have the potential to be a really strong couple,” he said. “They get on very well with each other, they look happy and they look very good together. However, Tyrique admitted that he wants to keep playing the game and he acts like he isn’t fully closed off which puts them in a difficult situation.” George’s comments come after fellow Love Islander Molly Marsh gave her verdict on the remaining couples after her surprise exit from the show last week.
