‘The Wonder Years’ reboot canceled after two sesaons

Michaela Zee Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi attended the North American premiere of Sofia Coppola‘s “Priscilla” at the New York Film Festival on Friday night, where they sat down for a post-screening Q&A to discuss the biographical drama. “I got really lucky to actually sit down with Priscilla herself and ask her all the questions I wanted to,” Spaeny explained to the audience, adding that their conversation helped her “know where I was trying to go and what I wanted to say throughout those years playing her.” The production was completed on a tight deadline of 30 days, with producer Youree Henley emphasizing the team’s doubts that they could “make this in less than 35 days.” Spaeny said the hair, makeup and costumes acted like her “anchor of where I was in the storylines.” “We shot it in 30 days and also out of order, so I’d be pregnant in the morning, and then after lunch I’d be 14 years old,” she said with a laugh.

After three seasons on the Paramount+ streaming service, the rebooted “iCarly” is no more.

Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty has ended after two seasons. The HBO drama, a biographical look at the 1980s Showtime era of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, debuted in 2022. The second season finale aired on HBO on Sunday (September 17) and showed the Lakers losing the 1984 NBA finals to the Boston Celtics.

Despite fears for the future of film in the new, seemingly disposable digital era, there are still many auteurs holding on out there in the modern movie landscape. But few directors are as instantly recognizable as Wes Anderson. Nothing happens by accident in a Wes Anderson movie: the camera moves are perfectly choreographed — sideways tracking shots are a specialty — and the sets don’t even begin to aim for realism. Clothes are tailored, hair and makeup is scrutinized all the way down to lipstick and nail polish, and music is key, creating a subtle, sometimes melancholy and always wholly effective emotional backdrop.

ABC has decided to not renew The Wonder Years for another season.

BreAnna Bell “The Wonder Years” has been canceled at ABC after two seasons, Variety has confirmed. Based on the 1988 sitcom of the same name, the reimagined series followed a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, through the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old Dean.

EXCLUSIVE: ABC has opted not to proceed with a third season of The Wonder Years. The news comes a month after the reboot of the classic coming-of-age comedy wrapped its Season 2 run on the network.

Olly Rix, who plays the character Matthew Aylward, has reportedly been axed from Call the Midwife, with his character set to be written out of upcoming storylines. Actor Olly, 36, is said to have been told of his character's abrupt departure just last week, with filming having already got underway. His co-stars are said to have been left "stunned and upset" at the exit, with the show's thirteenth series, which aired earlier this year, seeing Matthew tie the knot with midwife Trixie Franklin (Helen George).

Wes Anderson fans were surprised when the filmmaker revealed earlier this summer that his upcoming Netflix project “The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar” is only 37 minutes long. But there’s a good reason for its short length.
