A rapidly draining iPhone battery is a common problem for Apple users, but there are ways to get around it.
Though wildly popular, one common complaint about iPhones is their battery power. User are known to lament their rapidly draining devices, but it turns out the way you use your mobile phone could be making matters worse.
Batteries eventually need replacing by which time people often justify upgrading their phone. But that doesn't mean you have to skate by with low battery in the meantime.
One avoidable mistake is using the wrong phone case, according to popular tech TikToker David Eluemunoh, reports the Mirror.
Things like constantly topping up the charge, watching videos while charging and using chargers with too high of a voltage can all lower the iPhone battery's life span.
In a viral video viewed over 1.7 million times on TikTok, David said: "Stop charging your iPhone with a case. Did you know charging your iPhone in certain styles of cases make it get hot? That is mainly why your iPhone stops charging when it gets to 80% because it's hot."
David explains the reason your battery health deteriorates so quickly is due to the phone overheating, a warning which is echoed by Apple on its website.
The site reads: "Charging your device when it’s inside certain styles of cases may generate excess heat, which can affect battery capacity. If you notice that your device gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first."
The TikToker claims this is the reason why warm iPhones stop charging at 80%, whereas phones with good battery health will automatically use optimised charging, pausing at this percentage. This is so your phone isn't charging constantly throughout the night, it will continue charging in the morning

Scott Huver As Blake Shelton prepares to exit “The Voice” after a dozen years and 23 seasons, the impact of the country singer’s enduring, anchoring presence as the NBC music competition series’ longest-running coach is already being keenly felt by his creative colleagues. “From the start, Blake was kind, down to earth and funny,” says the series’ showrunner and executive producer Audrey Morrissey, who, like Shelton, has been with the series since its inception. “He’s the type of person that makes sure to have fun every day and makes sure those around him laugh as well.” Shelton’s affable, easygoing and supportive approach has been felt far beyond what makes it to air, Morrissey adds. “He takes a real interest in people — whether it be his team or the crew,” she says. “This was apparent from Season 1, where after the season was over, he helped out two of his team members. For one, he paid for an apartment so they could 100% pursue music, and for the other, he bought them a car so they could get to writing sessions, etc. Most people know him for his humor, but I know him for his heart as well.”

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Ken Marino credits his pal Adam Scott for making the unlikely and unexpected “Party Down” revival a reality. “Adam helped guide this and make this happen in a real way,” he tells Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast. “I think everybody in that cast recognized how special it was, and to just kind of go back and to get to do some more, to be with these people again, creatively, it’s a real gift.” The first two seasons of “Party Down” aired on Starz in 2009 and 2010; the revival takes place a decade after the show’s last episode and features the returns of Marino as Ron, the slightly clueless catering manager who now owns the business — well, running it out of his van — and Scott as Henry, the sardonic failed actor who’s now a teacher and working on the side with Party Down to help pay for his alimony.
