The January transfer window deadline is quickly approaching and as yet Manchester City are yet to sign any new players.
With January 31 a matter of days away and no upcoming fixtures this weekend, the attentions of fans and the media alike will be on what business can be done before the end of the month.
City’s only significant transfer during the summer was the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100 million.
However, despite their lack of activity in the last window they're currently enjoying a successful season thus far, sitting nine points clear at the top of Premier League, and through to the last-16 of the Champions League.
Nevertheless City boss Pep Guardiola may be tempted to strengthen his squad going into the second half of the campaign.
With that in mind MEN Sport has taken a close look at what shirt numbers are currently up for grabs at the Etihad.
Whilst it’s unlikely that City would sign a goalkeeper before Monday’s deadline considering they have Ederson, Zack Steffen and Scott Carson to call upon, the No.1 shirt is up for grabs.
The number has been available since Claudio Bravo left City to join Real Betis in 2020.
The shirt was made famous at the Etihad by former captain Vincent Kompany, but has been vacant since he left in 2019.
The number doesn’t have a particularly storied history with the club but was previously worn by Nedum Onuoha and Steve Lomas.
A number typically associated with midfielders, but the last player to wear the shirt was French defender Eliaquim Mangala.
No.15 hasn’t been worn since the end of the 2018/19 season.
This particular shirt was last used by Fabian Delph, before he left the club to join Everton in the summer of 2019.
