The Rig season two: Martin Compston's smash hit Prime Video Scots series set to return

Prime Video has renewed A League Of Their Own for a second and final season. Following months of talks with Sony TV, the series will end with a four-episode Season 2, sources have confirmed.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon Prime Video have set the launch date and pricing for their ‘Warner Pass’ offer in France to March 16. Priced at €9.99 per month, the offer will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video Channels in France, and will boast all of HBO programs, along with 12 channels, including Warner TV, Eurosport, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network and CNN, as well as their associated on-demand services. Subscribers will benefit from a 30-day free trial until April 3. “The launch of Warner Pass exclusively as a Prime Video channel in France is the next step in our journey to become the destination for customers in France to find the best in storytelling, premium entertainment and sports,” said Brigitte Ricou-Bellan, Prime Video French Country Director.

Naman Ramachandran A documentary series on disgraced former 1970s British pop star Gary Glitter is in the works at Netflix, the streamer has confirmed. The three-part series, with the working title “Hunting Gary Glitter,” will feature previously unseen photographs and archive footage and will cover Glitter’s life story and his later conviction for child sex abuse and a series of sexual offences. The series will have exclusive access to the journalists who pursued Glitter over several years across the world in order to bring him to justice and alerted authorities to his whereabouts in Southeast Asia, ultimately leading to his arrest. It will also feature conversations with victims of Glitter. It is directed by Sam Hobkinson (“The Confession,” “Misha and the Wolves,” “Fear City”) and produced by Cammy Millard (“The Puppet Master”).

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” which will premiere April 14. Season 5 finds Midge Maisel as close to the success she’s been working towards while still a long way off. Previously, she had burnt bridges and been cut from tour, with the season ending on the star in front of Carnegie Hall, reinvigorated to chase her dreams. The fifth season’s cast includes Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller and Jason Ralph. The show was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino with executive producer Daniel Palladino. The two wrote and directed the series as well.

JD Linville Prime Video and Conspiração Filmes, one of Brazil’s biggest production houses, have dropped the trailer for Season 2 of their award-winning original Brazilian series “Dom,” which follows Pedro Dom, a notorious gangster and his father Victor’s efforts to save his son from himself.  The series, which debuted in 2021, is the creation of late director Breno Silveira (“Two Sons of Francisco”) who directed the second season prior to his death.
