“The Masked Singer” goes to great lengths to make sure that contestants do not get revealed before their eliminations. So much so, that even the travel from the car to the studio is planned well in advance — and there are clothing guidelines.“You’re completely covered. You’re wearing a hoodie, you have this mask on, you’re wearing gloves, can’t wear shorts,” Tyler Posey, who was revealed as Hawk on Wednesday night’s episode told The Post.
“You can’t show any skin or anything like that. And then I even saw another contestant in the hoodie and the gloves and mask. And I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I wonder who that is.'”The actor called the behind-the-scenes of the Fox show an “electric atmosphere” — so much so, that it felt a bit like he was “the president of CIA.”“I had to be in secret gear the whole time.
It’s just a weird show. It’s a weird element that you would never get otherwise. So it was a lot of fun.”Posey — who is a musician himself — decided to sign on for Season 10 for “mostly personal reasons.”“I really love performing on stage.
I am very competitive and I also love doing weird random experiences that are once in a lifetime,” he explained. “This is the most bizarre, random, interesting, weird thing that you could do.”Despite the secrecy of it all, the “Maid in Manhattan” star wasn’t nervous that he would accidentally reveal to loved ones that he was on the show. But his friends did wonder what he was up to work wise.“It’s like this little inner game that I got to play in my head.
When I’m seeing my friends or my family, I’m like, ‘You have no idea what I’ve been doing,'” he said. “It was fun to keep it secret. It wasn’t too hard.
