Emilio Estevez said his father Martin Sheen once advised him not to make the same "mistake" he did, urging him to use his birth name for auditions.  "I thought using the name Sheen would help [with auditions]," Estevez told Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb on the "Today" show Tuesday.  "At the time, my dad said, ‘Don’t make the mistake that I did. Don’t change your name' because back in the day – 1958 — he changed his name from Ramón Estévez to Martin Sheen because, at the time, there was a lot of prejudice against people with the Hispanic name."  He said, in 1967, Sheen’s father, Estevez’s grandfather Francisco Estévez, went to see Sheen on Broadway in "The Subject Was Roses."  "He stood outside of the theater and looked up at the marquee, and my dad saw him shake his head in disappointment, and so he never got over that," the Breakfast Club" actor said. "And, so, I think when it was time for me to sort of start making those moves and start getting out and doing auditions, he said, 'Man, if I had one thing to do over, it was that I never would have changed my name.'" Sheen, who only adopted a stage name and never changed his legally, spoke about his "regret" last year.

Actor Terrence Hardiman, best known for playing the title role in the CBBC series The Demon Headmaster, has died at the age of 86, his agent has said.The stage and screen star also appeared in TV series such as The Crown, Wallander, Doctor Who and Prime Suspect, but it was his role as The Demon Headmaster in the same-titled show in the 90's that he is perhaps best known for. He also lent his voice to 150 audiobooks, such as Colin Dexter, Anne Perry and Ruth Rendell, which took 4,500 hours of his time to record. His death was announced “with great sadness” by Scott Marshall Partners, which said he was a “beloved client and much-loved stage and screen actor”.Terrence's cause of death has not been revealed.

Wright, who worked frequently with directors including John McTiernan and Mel Gibson, received an Emmy award for his work on “Sarah, Plain and Tall” as well Oscar nominations for his work on “The Hunt for Red October” and “Speed.” More than 50 years ago, Wright began his prolific career as a film editor, first working at The James Company. In 1973, Wright contributed to the TV movie “Strange Creatures of the Night” and soon moved into feature editing. Soon after Wright edited for “Life Goes to War: Hollywood and the Home Front” and “Acapulco Gold.”
