They had an "inseparable" brother and sister bond. Whenever they spent time away from one another, they would stay up until the early hours of the morning to catch up on lost time.
Adrian Kennedy had a wonderful relationship with Kelly Kennedy, who he described as having a "loving, caring and infectious personality". But one night almost eight years ago was to change his life forever.
It was July 4, 2016, and Kelly, aged 25, had just finished work. She was driving back to her family home in Wales which she shared with Adrian, her mum Tracy and dad Paul, travelling along the A4067. Her Ford Ka was the first in a line of traffic heading from the direction of Pontardawe at the time, when travelling in the opposite direction were two boy racers.
At speeds touching 90mph, the pair were driving “side-by-side”, with neither slowing down nor showing any sign of wanting to “give in” to the other. One of them crashed headlong into Kelly's car, killing her instantly.

It's now nearly eight years on since the tragic crash but Adrian explained how it "still feels like yesterday" for him. He said he had struggled to adequately verbalise the enormity of the loss of his beloved sister, WalesOnline reports.
He said: "It was a bit of a blur at the time. Six months prior to my sister passing, I lost my auntie, who I was very close with. I was already in a bit of a bad place then. My sister was my rock, she was the person pulling me through that, so when that happened, I sort of spiralled a little bit, and felt I couldn't really process things because I wanted to be strong for my parents.
