Ten teenagers are standing trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of murder. Jabriel Ferguson, 19, of School Walk, Old Trafford; Latif Ferguson, 18, of the same address; and Rashaun Williams, 18, from Staffordshire; have all been charged with murder and manslaughter.
Seven other boys - all under 18 - have been charged with the same offences. They cannot be named for legal reasons. Kennie was allegedly murdered in 'revenge' following an 'incident' the day before, prosecutors allege.

The first defendant took to the witness box to give evidence at Manchester Crown Court after prosecutors closed their case. The teenager, referred to as Boy A in press reports, told jurors he travelled to Stretford on January 22 to ‘meet some girls’.
He said he didn’t know anything about an incident the day before until he was allegedly informed by his co-defendant Rashaun Williams. Under questioning from his barrister Guy Gozem KC, Boy A claimed that Mr Williams had told him that ‘someone the night before had chased him with a metal pole’.
Boy A said he was with other defendants in Stretford and was ‘walking around’ and ‘messing about’. He claimed that Mr Williams was ‘leading the way’ and was ‘at the front’.
