Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham believes Arsenal will come out on top in the race to finish fourth in the Premier League table this season.

Arsenal have won their last four league games, meaning they are currently the most consistently performing side in the race for the final Champions League berth. United, Tottenham and West Ham United have all flittered with it in recent weeks but have struggled for consistency.

With Arsenal currently enjoying their joint-best winning run of the season, former United star Sheringham is backing them to come out on top in the four-horse race to secure fourth. He has also suggested that "friction" at Old Trafford could dent United's chances.
"I hate to say it but Arsenal looked very, very good [against Watford]," Sheringham told Lord Ping. "They're coming into form at the right moment.
"I know they were playing against one of the bottom teams in the division, but the way they controlled the ball, took the game to Watford on Sunday, they scored three and could've had more. They were very, very impressive.
