‘Ted Lasso’ Wins Big, ‘Only Murders’ Gets Skunked and Lizzo Dethrones ‘Drag Race’: The Biggest Snubs and Surprises at the Emmys

HBO has set a Halloween Eve premiere date for the second installment of HBO’s Emmy-winning series The White Lotus, from Mike White. The seven-episode series debuts Sunday, October 30 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.

The highly anticipated rom-com ‘Shotgun Wedding’ starring Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Coolidge and Josh Duhamel, will be available on Prime Video January 27, 2023. And while we wait, the first images from the star-studded film have been revealed.Produced by Ryan Reynolds, Lopez and Duhamel will appear on screen portraying a couple in a very complex relationship, after their wedding day turns into a chaotic adventure, involving criminals and a hostage situation.One of the photos shows Jennifer in a wedding gown and Josh in a suit, fighting in the middle of a tropical setting and trying to escape each other.

The winners of this year's Emmy Awards, the most prestigious honours in television, have been announced. Succession, Ted Lasso, The White Lotus and Squid Game are among the shows that walked away with top awards.

Zendaya set the tone for last night's Emmy Awards. Not only did she make history as the youngest-ever recipient of not one but two awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, but her ball gown, a swooshing and strapless number from Valentino, lent towards Old Hollywood. According to her stylist and image architect, Law Roach, the dress was based on an archival gown from the late 1980s - yet another example of something old taking today's red carpet by storm.

Succession, Ted Lasso and The White Lotus were the victors in their respective drama, comedy and limited categories at this year’s Emmy Awards. In total, the trio bagged 12 awards at Monday’s ceremony, including the big prize in their respective fields.

Jennifer Coolidge is now an Emmy winner! The 61-year-old actress won her first career Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category, beating out her “White Lotus” co-stars, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Natasha Rothwell and Sydney Sweeney, as well as “Dopesick”’s Kaitlyn Dever and Mare Winningham.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter HBO roared back to the top of the Emmy Awards, with the premium cabler and its streaming counterpart, HBO Max, topping the total awards haul for 2022. HBO/HBO Max picked up 38 Emmys in total, doubling their 19 wins in 2021. HBO took home multiple awards in the limited series category thanks to “The White Lotus'” 10 wins, with Mike White winning for both best writing and directing. Those wins were coupled with “The White Lotus” stars Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett’s wins for best supporting actress and actor in a limited series. To close out the night, “The White Lotus” ultimately won best limited series while “Succession” won best drama series.

HBO’s The White Lotus swept the writing and directing categories for Limited Series at the Emmys tonight, handing two trophies to creator Mike White in a matter of minutes.
