Katie Reul editor Premiering the night before Easter, the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” opened with a serene image of the sketch show cast members sitting at a long table, perfectly costumed and positioned to parallel Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” But the tranquility was short-lived with the arrival of cast member James Austin Johnson, who took over the cold open by telling the story of Easter as a monologue delivered by Donald Trump. Last week’s episode also opened with a Trump spoof after the former president was indicted by a grand jury. On April 4, Trump pled not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records. His arrest and arraignment made him the first president in U.S. history to ever be charged with a crime after leaving office. And this milestone was also addressed with this week’s cold open.

The deal was closed by Toronto-based sales agent Syndicado Film Sales, which is also an executive producer on the film. The film had its world premiere at Copenhagen documentary festival CPH:DOX on Monday, the anniversary of the invasion. In the film, Czech-Swedish filmmaker Greta Stocklassa interviews the Swedish diplomatic, now 94 years old, about what happened in the months leading up to war. He describes his meetings with George W. Bush and Tony Blair, his frustration when Colin Powell gave his pivotal speech in the UN Security Council, and his feeling of emptiness when the U.S. started the invasion, despite his reports that his team had found no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid series in the works at Amazon has found its showrunners. Variety has learned that Alex Metcalf has boarded the show, currently titled “Butch & Sundance,” as showrunner and executive producer. Series creators Kaz Firpo and Ryan Firpo will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Metcalf. The Firpos most recently wrote the screenplay for the Marvel film “Eternals.” Amazon has ordered the show straight-to-series. The show was first reported as being in development in September, with Regé-Jean Page attached to play Cassidy and Glen Powell playing Sundance. At that time, it was reported that deals for the show were not yet closed and discussions were ongoing.

Love Island isn’t just about love, it turns out, as winners can also bag an impressive £50k cash prize if they’re able to win over the public’s hearts and minds. Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, who recently appeared for the reunion special, became the latest couple to do just that when they were crowned the winners of the 2023 winter edition of the show.The couple, who work as a teacher and a social worker respectively, have already revealed that they plan to spend their money wisely and ensure at least some of it goes to a good cause.

Hulu’s “How I Met Your Father” will make its linear debut next month on Freeform, marking the first time the series has been available off of Hulu. “How I Met Your Father” will bow Tuesday, April 25, on Freeform, starting with the first two episodes, “Pilot” and “Fomo,” at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET, respectively. Episodes will continue to air back-to-back each week, culminating with the season finale on May 23. Hulu will continue to also offer “How I Met Your Father” episodes for streaming as well. “How I Met Your Father” premiered in January 2022; the comedy is currently in the midst of a 20-episode Season 2, having returned earlier this winter.

Kai, 24 and Sanam, 24 were crowned the winners of this year's winter series of Love Island on Monday evening by presenter Maya Jama. The loved up pair met less than a month ago when bombshell Sanam entered the villa as part of the notorious Casa Amor twist.

Director Matt Johnson, along with co-screenwriter Matthew Miller, adapted Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff’s book “Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry” for the big screen. Johnsonplays BlackBerry co-founder Douglas Fregin in the film, alongside Glenn Howerton as chair and co-CEO Jim Balsillie, Jay Baruchel as co-founder Mike Lazaridis and Cary Elwes as Palm CEO Carl Yankowski. Angelique Jackson After presenting at Sunday’s Oscars ceremony, Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield have begun formulating plans to share the screen again, as co-stars in the upcoming film “We Live in Time.” The two Academy Award-nominated actors are in talks to star in the StudioCanal project, which is described as a “funny, deeply moving and immersive love story.” John Crowley, best known for the BAFTA-winning film “Brooklyn,” is on board to direct, from a script by Nick Payne (“The Last Letter from Your Lover,””Wanderlust”). In addition to developing the script, StudioCanal will produce the project with Sunny March. Further plot details are being kept under wraps, but if the deals with Pugh and Garfield close, the intention is to begin production later this year. StudioCanal executives Ron Halpern, EVP global production, and Joe Naftalin, SVP global production, are overseeing the project on behalf of the studio.

Before it was revealed they'd won Love Island, Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan sat down for a live interview with presenter Maya Jama to look back at their best bits. Sanam, 24, and Kai, also 24, discussed their initial attraction to one another during the Casa Amor twist and revealed their plans for after the show, and Sanam accidentally revealed she loves Kai, leaving the pair in fits of giggles.

Love Island fans have cheekily suggested a new pair on the show have 'more chemistry than one of the winter series' final couples and have also spotted a potential future islander in the penultimate episode. The current run of the ITV2 dating show will come to an end on Monday night (March 13).
