Yung Lean’s video for the FKA twigs-featured track “Bliss” showed his campy side, but the newly released video for “Paradise Lost” (featuring Ant Wan) goes the opposite route. The Marcus Söderlund-directed video takes on a neo-goth aesthetic, with the Swedish rapper and Ant Wan in a wooden chapel and a dimly-lit underground garage.

I feel excited — three Swedish directors in competition for the Palme d’Or is amazing, and an impressive sign of strength for Swedish and Nordic films! Film is the seventh artform and as such a potential carrier of all the other artforms, thus difficult to catch in a short explanation. It is a medium with enormous impact, capable of transmitting knowledge, insights, raising awareness and empathy, triggering laughs and tears, addressing imbalances, and creating new ones.You’ve just started at the Swedish Film Institute in April. What are the priorities on your ‘to do list’? My top priorities at present is to listen and learn, to pick the brains of all the competences we have in-house in the Swedish Film Institute and within different segments of the Swedish film industry, film heritage sector, film literacy field, academia and beyond.What is your vision to help Swedish film navigate through this turbulent post-pandemic and streaming era? Things are heating up for Legendary’s Monsterverse.Last week we learned that Dan Stevens would be joining the untitled “Godzilla vs. Kong” sequel that will be filming in Australia this summer and now Legendary has announced that Matt Shakman, who has directed episodes of “Game of Thrones,” “The Boys” and all of “WandaVision,” will be helming the first two episodes of the new Monsterverse TV series for Apple TV+.Not much is known about the upcoming series, aside from the fact that it will focus on “one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.” (Yes, Godzilla is supposed to be involved in some capacity and Toho is a co-producer.)Chris Black (“Outcast”) will serve as showrunner, with Black and comic book favorite Matt Fraction (whose “Hawkeye” comics were the basis for the recent Disney+ series) serving as executive producers.

A tour poster hints at four more stops that have yet to be revealed.The tour will kick off in Singapore on July 9 then head to Australia for stops in Melbourne (July 11) and Sydney (July 12).
