Manchester United are predicted to achieve their worst Premier League finish of all time - according to the latest supercomputer.
The Reds had plenty of aspirations for their second season under Erik ten Hag, but despite all the issues last year, the campaign has been tough viewing. United have been knocked out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup early doors and their league form is nothing to write home about either.
Ten Hag's team is currently 11 points outside the top four and could drop as low as eighth this evening if Brighton & Hove Albion defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex tonight. To put this into some perspective, United are only 16 points off the relegation zone, meaning Champions League football next season is a pipe dream at the moment.

However, according to a study by OLBG, things could get even worse for United by the time May rolls around. Their calculations predict the Reds could finish as low as 11th this season, meaning they would finish in the bottom half of the Premier League for the first time.
Perhaps of even greater concern is that the simulation of the Premier League results by this study have been right so far. Of course, the simulation's prediction is not guaranteed to reflect how the season will end, but United know they need to improve their form fast if they want to have any chance of playing European football next season.
