‘Suits: L.A.’: Josh McDermitt Joins Steven Amell In NBC Pilot

Whatever happened to the ABC talk show host Murray from The Last of Us? Did he get a fungal infection that turned him into a zombie? Granted, he was a character well before the timeline of the show, but still, ya know flashbacks. Plus, Murray was played by Silicon Valley star Josh Brener.

In Vienna in 1893, a nobleman named Kinskey threw a glorious ball looking to impress a beautiful Archduchess who could potentially be his bride, all of which took place in a Bridgerton-inspired Saturday Night Live sketch this evening. Josh Brolin served as this evening’s host and portrayed Kinskey, while Sarah Sherman brought to life his would-be bride.

Jaden Thompson Troy Winbush has been cast in NBC’s “Suits: LA” pilot, the spin-off of the USA Network legal drama “Suits,” which recently experienced a massive resurgence on Netflix. Winbush has been cast as Kevin, joining previously announced cast members Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt and Lex Scott Davis.

Based on the cast alone, Steven Soderbergh‘s upcoming spy flick “Black Bag” could be his buzziest feature in a long time. Deadline reports that two more join Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett on the thriller’s cast list: Regé-Jean Page and Marisa Abela.

Lex Scott Davis has been cast as the female lead opposite Stephen Amell in the NBC drama pilot Suits L.A., a new extension of the Suits universe from Aaron Korsh, creator and writer of the original series. In addition to Amell, Davis also joins series regular Josh McDermitt in the pilot, whose production is scheduled to start in late March in Vancouver. She landed the role after an extensive search.

Caroline Brew editor “The Walking Dead” actor Josh McDermitt is set to star opposite Steven Amell in NBC’s “Suits” spinoff, “Suits: LA.” The new series sees Amell star as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who built an L.A. law firm, Black Lane Law, specializing in criminal and entertainment law.
