Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has revealed his secret ballroom feud as he stated he “can’t even be in a room" with two show stars after he left in 2018. Brendan appeared as a professional dancer in the first 15 series of Strictly, until he announced in January 2018 that his contract had not been renewed by bosses.
The dancer stated how important it is to get along with your dancing partner as he revealed: “I've had that twice really strongly, where we couldn't even be in the same studio together - it was awful.” Without naming exactly which stars he had a feud with, Brendan emphasised that “the hardest part about Strictly” is if you don’t get along well with your dance partner as you have to spend so much time together training. “It's so intense, the training is intense, the time you spend together in the studio, sometimes for hours, sometimes eight hours, sometimes longer.
That connection that you have, if you've got a great relationship, it bolsters the relationship, it encourages, it makes it an amazing experience for both parties, the celeb and the pro,” he said speaking on behalf of Sky Bingo.
The former dancer continued: “If there's a little bit of tension, it's such an uncomfortable feeling! You’re spending all this time with somebody that you actually don't like pretty much [and] they don't like you, you might not be a bad person, they might not be a bad person, but you are spending time with somebody that's not on your wish list. And then choices like choreography start being blamed.” Since leaving the BBC dance show, Brendan has uprooted his family, including daughter Aurelia and son Dante, to move their life abroad.
