Strictly's Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton welcome first child with Disney inspired name

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton have welcomed their first child together and have picked a Disney inspired name.

The BBC documentary maker announced that she had given birth to a baby girl with a sweet post shared on social media.

On Instagram, Stacey posted a snap of an envelope with the words 'Minnie's parents' written on the front. She then wrote: "Our Daughter is here. My little masterpiece! I'm COMPLETELY OBSESSED. Love you Minnie, Love you Kev x."

Stacey described baby Minnie as a 'little masterpiece' and many friends and fans flocked to the comments to congratulate the couple on their new arrival.

One wrote: "Oh congratulations!!! Sending you all the biggest hugs and all our love."

Another added: "Yay!!!! Congrats! Welcome Miss Minnie."

While another said: "MINNIE!!!!!! Congratulations mum and dad, and well done Minnie for choosing two legends for parents."

And one penned: "Congratulations!! Welcome to the world little Minnie!"

Stacey and Kevin were first introduced when they were paired on the 2018 series of Strictly, which they went on to win.

Months after the show, Stacey announced she had split with her personal trainer boyfriend with her romance with 'King Kev', as she affectionately calls the dancer, revealed shortly after.

Kevin was newly single when he was partnered with Stacey, after splitting with second wife Karen Hauer before the series.

After dodging criticism from Stacey's ex, who branded Kevin a "snake" after their romance came to light, the loved-up pair have gone from strength to strength.

Stacey and Kevin then announced in August last year that they were expecting their first child together.
